The fish in these waters include Amberjack, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Red Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Hogfish, Gray Triggerfish, Tripletail, Thresher Shark, and more if you come at the right time of year. During the trip you might be spinning, popping, trolling, drifting, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. For the more adventurous among you, there's spearfishing.

If you're traveling with the family, you will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!

Your boat for the day is a 39' Contender center console that can carry up to 6 passengers. It comes with outriggers, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. JD has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.

It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
