Ahoy! I'm Captain Ocean, and I've been fishing the beautiful waters of South Padre Island for over 14 years. Specializing in Redfish and Speckled Trout, I know where the action is—and I'm excited to share the adventure with you!
Whether we're post fishing or drifting with the current, I'll provide everything you need for a great day on the water. That means no need to bring rods, tackle, or bait—I've got it all covered with top-quality gear to give you the best chance at landing that dream catch.
What to Bring & What to Wear:
I recommend dressing for success: a long-sleeve fishing shirt, a hat, sunglasses, and definitely some sunscreen. I'll have cold bottled water on board to keep you hydrated, but feel free to bring along your favorite drinks and snacks to keep the good vibes going.
Important Reminders:
Fishing licenses are required for anyone 17 years or older (Don't worry, they're easy to get!)
Kids 13 and under must wear a life jacket at all times. I've got plenty on board, but if your child has a preferred one, you're welcome to bring it along.

We limited on trout within the first hour then went on to catch black drum. Captain Londrie was great working with my youngest son (8yrs old), he was instructive and motivational for him. We will definitely continue to fish with Captain Londrie in the future. Overall a very successful trip!
My son and I were in town for a football camp and decided to book a last minute trip We couldn’t have picked a better captain. TXstrigers is knowledgeable, fun with the best equipment. Early in the morning we headed out to Drum Wars… an area where all the boats head to in search of Black Drum. The boats were anchored up around the shelf in the shallow water and we cruised right in the middle in the deeper water and the captain set the trolling motor/anchor and we were able to sit where none of the other boats could because we had equipment they did not. We landed on top of a school of black drum and caught our limit in 10 minutes!!! One cast after another. We looked at the other 20 boats with 6 anglers each getting maybe one drum per boat as every cast we made got hit instantly. We had a blast and it was almost embarrassing watching the other boats struggle to get one. We then headed out to get some speckled trout and other fish. Txstringers has been fishing these waters for nearly 20 years, are great to fish with and have the best equipment. We will definitely be coming back. You’d be foolish to use anyone else
