If you're ready to get hooked on fishing in Sitka, we've got you covered with Shelikof Adventures. With Captain Joe at the helm, you'll have a knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Local species include Coho Salmon, Chinook Salmon, and more with any luck. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish.
Children are welcome, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your day begins aboard a 27' Osprey pilothouse that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has downriggers, and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, you will need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks available on board.

Had a ton of fun with captain Joe. He brought goodies and a great attitude to enjoy a wonderful time on the water in Sitka, AK.
We caught Lingcod and Black Cod. The Captain was great!! We'll be back.

Had a great time. Caught several species. Very friendly. Made sure we had a great time. Pointed out wildlife. Saw plenty of whales, sea otters, and sea lions. Beautiful scenery.
My son and I had an incredible day out on the water with Captain Joe. He made it a great experience for us two at a reasonable rate and delivered on everything! We were staying at a vrbo and only had one car, so Joe picked us up in the morning so the rest of the family had a vehicle while we were out fishing most of the day. He had good coffee, snacks and a full lunch, plus some delicious smoked salmon on the way back. We hit a few different spots and we both landed some giant Kings! Cleaned and sealed, we’re headed home with A LOT of salmon! Thanks for the incredible memories, Joe, you’re a great man, very kind. We pray for God’s continued blessings on you and your family! If you get the chance to book Joe, do it! You’ll have your own amazing memories for a lifetime.

Captain Joe was great. He picked us up at our cruise ship and took us to his boat. Once on the water, it didn’t take long for us to get our catch. Two king salmon. Then we went exploring on the water went to an island filled with birds saw puffins, eagles and many whales on our adventure. We were also able to see our ship from the water. So cool. Captain Joe kept in contact with us before the trip and supplied drinks snacks and lunch. He made sure we were back on the ship with time to spare. Will definitely use him again next time we’re in Sitka.
