White Lightning Sportfishing 

Capt Patrick Somerville is absolutely outstanding and professional. Not only is he a Veteran but has so much knowledge with offshore fishing. Went out with close friends and their kids. He put up with all the kids and adults questions. We had lots and he explained them to the kids as well as us. We learned so much, caught a ton of fish. Not all made the cut, but had enough to make a meal. Red Snapper. Lane Snappers, Sand Trout, Baracuda, and Spanish Mackerel were just some of the species we landed. Was great with the kids and great with the adult's. Again we asked so many questions and he had the patience and great knowledge to explain it all to us. We did throw him some curve balls but he got our lines back out fast. Even when all 4 had fish on at the same time.

Patrick was awesome! We showed up about 45 minutes early, and he was ready for us and got us out on the water early, which was amazing! We got started early, had such a good time and Patrick even extended the trip, and the fishing was top notch! If you’re ever around Port A or Corpus Christi and want to actually catch fish instead of just paying for a boat ride and emotional damage, I highly recommend giving Patrick a holler. The price was right, the trip was great, and we had a blast. Thanks again, Patrick! We’ll definitely give you a holler next time we’re in the area!

I would gladly book another fishing excursion with Captain Patrick and highly encourage anyone to book his services. He communicated quickly with me after first booking the trip asking about our group so he can make the most of our time together. He was friendly with my family right from the moment we stepped onto his boat. Hs boat was well equipped and clean. He let us stream our own music as we headed out to the Gulf. Most importantly, he was able to connect us with some fun fish. We caught several king mackerel, a crevalle jack, red fish, and the biggest catch of our trip was 30 lb cobia. Again, I highly recommend Captain Patrick's services!!!

We chartered the White Lightning for a family trip and had the best time. Patrick was able to put on family on fish and everyone caught a ton. Communication prior to the trip was great, we had a lot of questions and concerns taking 4 kids out and Patrick answered them all quickly and efficiently.

Captain Patrick really outdid himself. He had a great personality that had everyone comfortable instantly. Very knowledgeable and situationally aware. As soon as we got to our fishing location we were hooked! Fish on with a king fish. We were slamming them on board. Until the Dolphins showed up. Captains experience quickly showed when we switched gears to catching bait fish in order to go for some shark. With the dolphins snatching those up also we set off to fish by a shrimp boat. We were able to use small bits of our earlier catches (king fish) to limit out with 6 Black tip sharks 🦈. Another great decision by the Captain and a trade off we were all super excited about. Highly recommend to book with Captain Patrick. We had an amazing time and cant wait for our next trip.
