These waters are known for Redfish, Speckled Trout, and more – with any luck, you'll have tight lines in no time. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, popping, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Children are welcome, so feel free to make a family day out of it! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Don't forget to bring snacks to keep their stamina going!
You'll be casting lines from a 25' Mowdy bay boat with capacity for 4 passengers. It has all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Capt. Clay will provide rods and reels for you, along with lures.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), bottled water, and a hat. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Didn’t catch a lot but we knew this was not a great time of year to fish. Add to that some windy conditions and heavy rain the night before and few fish in the boat was to be expected. Clay took us to many spots to find more fish but conditions were tough. He was willing to stay out well past our four hours but we declined. Despite not catching many we had a great time. Great conversation and time on the water. Would definitely book again, maybe a better time of year next time.

Had a great experience with Captain Fisher! He’s super polite, knowledgeable, and punctual. He provided all the tackle and was prepared for multiple types of fishing popping cork, artificial and bottom. Boat was super clean and organized. Captain Fisher discussed the scope of the day before departing from the boat ramp then upon arrival of our fishing destination told us where to cast our lures. When the bites slowed down he would take us to another of his spots and quickly got us on fish again. We caught multiple species red drum, black drum, flounder and some others. The areas we fished were very peaceful and relaxing, very secluded. This fishing trip was truly a great experience and I will remember it forever. Thank you Captain hope to see you again soon.
Went on an afternoon and a morning trip with Capt. Clay. Great boat. Easy access. We had a great time. Recent rains pushing fresh water into the bay affected fishing but Clay did what he could to get us on fish. Will definitely book with him again.
Captain Clay was an excellent guide. He knows his waters very well and gives you the best opportunity to get on the fish. I had a great time fishing and chatting with him.
Had a great time with friends! Fishing was slow due to heavy rains earlier in the week. Clay was great and tried hard for us. Highly recommend!
