Make an adventure out of your next trip in Melbourne and go fishing with Freetime Adventure Charters. Just a short ferry ride across to beautiful Portarlington.
Flathead, Gummy Shark, Pink Snapper, King George Whiting, Squid, and more inhabit these waters, depending on the time of year. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Feel free to bring your own snacks – lucky for you, there will already be some on board!
Your adventure begins aboard a 34' Randell cuddy cabin with room for 24 passengers. It comes with all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. What's more, this vessel is wheelchair accessible. Capt. Justin has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is available, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be qualified and experienced staff on board to help your trip run smoothly.
Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but you should avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

i had a great time fishing here and happen to catch a snapper !! The captain and the crew were great and very helpful. overall an amazing experience
Thanks for the review Ankur. It was a fun session. See you again soon I hope!

This was a great day out for my grandson and me. We had such an awesome day. Couldn't have asked for a better experience with the fishing rods and bait provided, crew baiting the hooks, and when we got back to shore, they gutted and filleted the fish for us. And they provided food and drink for us.
Great fun, friendly staff and good food
Caught about 20 Flatheads. 8 keepers. I'd do that again.
Thanks for the review Gary, hope to see you again soon!
