Savannah has a beautiful and bountiful saltwater fishery. Captain Jesse Carter of Even Keel Fishing would love to help you explore it! Fishing the saltwater rivers and creeks in the Savannah area for nearly 40 years has afforded him a wealth of knowledge for finding the catch of the day.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Sheepshead, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, Black Drum, or Flounder. On the day of your trip you're likely to be using light tackle to drift floats or bump the bottom for hungry fish.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Child size life vests provided. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites!
You'll be casting lines from a 22' Sea Fox bay boat with room for 4 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is often the go to approach and provided with your booking.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Some fish have special regulations but your captain will help you follow them while you fish.
It's recommended to bring a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, so long as you avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

The trip was one of those that you just cant plan. We caught fish off and on all day. Nothing of ay size, however, you can not know what will happen. As for the Captain. He was great, he worked hard all day moving to different location, tried different baits, and did some spinning just to make our trip enjoyable. We will book again with him later October early November. If you are looking for a reasonable cost charter that the captain will pull out all stops to ensure you have a good time, Give Even Keel Fishing a try.

Our fishing trip included three  generation of family members, the father, the son and two grandsons. As I type the youngest grand is  lamenting about his fishing experience with the rest of the family. This being his first.  Captain Jesse was awesome. He provided my family a rememberable experience to cherish for a lifetime. I would strongly recommend his services to my friends without any reservation. We had so much fun that we are planning future trips with Captain Jesse Carter.

Wow!! Where do I begin from the start of our trip, along to several spots we caught so many different types of fish. A couple got away…but that’s part of a fish story! Captain Jesse was amazing with information, locations to go to, great sense of humor and just overall First Class experience! We are we talking about when we can go back!!! Thank you for the best memories EVER…and fish dinner later! Aidan had a fantastic birthday trip and he is stoked to do it again too!!

Because I know this guy and I felt like he could put my on fish I took a chance on the newest Captain in my circle of friends and boy did that work out! Jesse had everything I needed to tear it up while vacationing in Savannah. We got lucky and had good weather, good bites and lots of fun catching up. I’d never caught sheepshead and said as much…so he showed me the way. We tore up those little arm-wrestlers and caught plenty of other fish before and after the sheep show. Can’t recommend him enough. Book with confidence. To be fair, I’ve known him for more than 30 years but I’m certain he’d make a strangers fishing trip just as memorable.
