Irmo has a fish with your name on it, so let Carolina Catch Co help you catch it! Having logged many hours on various waterways in Georgia and South Carolina, Captain Mat is prepared to put you on fish.
You're likely to catch Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Catfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, and more with any luck.
On these trips, you can expect various techniques such as bottom fishing using light tackle, top water blow-ups and mid column search baits. Seasonal depending and specific species techniques apply upon request.
You can bring home some of the fish you catch, provided they're within limits. (3rd person under 16yrs of age due to weight limits of vessel).
Young ones are welcome. Children 13 and below must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. You're welcome to bring snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! Just no Bananas (Bad Luck!).
You'll step aboard a 21' Vexus bass boat with room for 2 passengers (3rd passenger if below 16 years of age). It comes with all the essentials.
Rods and reels are not covered by the charter, so ask the captain about bringing your own or renting some for an extra cost. Be sure to ask about bait and lures as well. Especially if you would prefer to use live bait (additional fee.)
Before coming aboard, you do not need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. It is covered under our charter fishing license. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's recommended to bring bottled water, sunscreen (non-spray), and sunglasses. There will be some water bottles and ice in the chest but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
