Make some memories in Mirissa and go fishing with Mirissa Water Sports. Having logged many hours on these tides, your captain knows them forwards and back.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, Sailfish, and who knows what else! Depending on the species you're after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. Feel free to bring your own snacks to keep up those energy levels!

Your excursion begins aboard a 30' center console with room for 10 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

It's recommended to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be some light snacks provided on board.

The trip is not as advertised. The crew was nice, but the equipment was primative. We spent 2 out of the 3 hours just going in circles. There were no rods given to us. We paid 450 dollars for something I would not have done for free.

We would like to kindly clarify a few important points to avoid any misunderstanding. This excursion was a fishing tour, and as agreed, we provided three fishing rods for your group. In addition, we also arranged traditional hand-line fishing, which is a common and authentic fishing method in Sri Lanka. However, this option was offered to you and politely declined.

Fishing practices and styles can vary significantly from country to country. Experiences in destinations such as Turkey cannot always be compared directly with Sri Lanka, as local culture, techniques, and conditions are different. What was offered to you reflects how fishing tours are traditionally conducted here.

Regarding the boat, we informed you clearly before the tour that the originally advertised speed boat was undergoing engine repairs. You personally saw the boat in question, and with your understanding, we arranged an alternative vessel to proceed with the tour.

We are pleased to hear that you found our crew to be kind and helpful, as professionalism and guest care are very important to us. While we respect your opinion, we believe the tour was conducted transparently and as discussed prior to departure.
