Capt Cody Layman's Guide Service is here to show you the stunning waters of Freeport. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Cody can tell you all about them.

These waters are home to Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and more, depending on the season. You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area. Capt. Cody can also take you Flounder gigging.

Capt. Cody will bring you aboard a 23' Tran Sport bay boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water. Your captain will provide rods and reels.

Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or require a special tag, so make sure you know what to expect.

Don't forget to bring sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
