Local species include Amberjack, Great Barracuda, Skipjack, Mahi Mahi, Black Grouper, African Pompano Jack, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Mutton Snapper, Bull Shark, and more, depending on the time of year. For these species, you're likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise you should bring your own. You're welcome to bring snacks to maintain your energy throughout the trip!
Your day begins aboard a 31' Bertram sportfishing vessel with space for 5 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and everything you need for a productive day on the water. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Capt. Mauricio has rods and reels for you, along with lures. Live bait is included, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
It's never a bad idea to bring sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

We had a wonderful fishing trip! The crew was fantastic and incredibly patient and gracious with our 3 and 6-year-old children. They spoke fluent English, which made communication so easy for us Texans. Our son even got to reel in several fish, which made the experience extra special for him! We caught mahi-mahi, yellow snapper, barracuda and triggerfish. The location was also extremely convenient, right next to our hotel, The St. Regis. We couldn’t have asked for a better family fishing experience and would highly recommend them!
We went out with Mauricio and his crew, Felipe and Oscar. Captain kept us on the fish and the crew was the hardest working crew I’ve experienced charter fishing. We caught snapper, mahi mahi, jack and bonita. Highly recommend these guys, they know what they’re doing!
