The Cowlitz River has a fish with your name on it, so let Cochran's Guide Service help you catch it! With Captain Garrett or Captain Ryan at the helm, you'll benefit from years of knowledge and experience.
The fish we will be targeting in these waters are Winter Steelhead. You'll target your catch by light tackle fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Also remember to bring snacks to keep up those energy levels!
Capt. Garrett runs a 20' Alumaweld aluminum fishing boat that holds up to 5 passengers. It comes with all the essentials. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures.
Before coming aboard, it is required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.

Garrett was absolutely amazing! He was fun and made us feel like family. We loved having puppy Winnie on board and Garrett was super supportive of the only girl on board getting all of the fish for the day. Would recommend him as a guide over and over again!

Capt. Garrett Cochran runs trips out of Washington State aboard a 20' Alumaweld Super Vee aluminum fishing boat. He targets Salmon, Steelhead, Sturgeon, and Kokanee. He is an excellent and knowledgably fisherman who loves to teach others on the water. Capt. Garrett has been fishing the waters of the Columbia River and its tributaries since a child with his father, Capt. Ron Cochran and his brother, Capt. Ryan Cochran.
