Make the most of your time in Groton and go fishing with My time. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain John can tell you all about them.
Depending on conditions, you might hook into Striped Bass, Bluefish, Flounder, Black Seabass, Scup (Porgy), Thresher Shark, Tautog, Bluefin Tuna, and whatever else is biting.
On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish.
You'll be fishing aboard a 28' Cuddy cabin that holds up to 5 passengers. It has all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience.
Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates often work for tips and it's customary to offer them a 10–20% tip.
Before coming aboard, you'll need to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species might be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure you know what to expect.
It's always wise to bring sunglasses, sunblock (non-spray), and bottled water. If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

Chilly weather, ungodly time (5:45am), dark, breezy, temperature around 62 degrees….none of that matter because our Captain and his 1st Mate Were whst made the experience sonetbing we will remember, recommend to our friends and schedule ourselves to do again.
