Dolphin (Mahi Mahi), Mangrove Snapper, Great Barracuda, Cubera Snapper, Yellowtail Amberjack, Silk Snapper, Red Snapper, Mutton Snapper, African Pompano Jack, Jack Crevalle, Yellowtail Snapper, Snapper (Blackfin), and more can be found in these waters, depending on the season.
You can expect to do some light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families who love fishing together will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Don't forget to bring snacks for a boost of energy when needed!
You'll be welcome aboard a 26' Skiff with space for 8 passengers. It comes with all the essentials.
You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. It's customary to tip the Mate 10–20% to show your appreciation.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, just show up ready for a good time! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include a hat, sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). Drinks will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. There will be food and some light snacks for you on board.
