Erik's Cabo Lifestyle – Big D
If you're going to cast a line in Cabo San Lucas, look no further than Erik's Cabo Lifestyle. Having logged many hours on these tides, our captains know them forwards and back.
These waters are home to Mahi Mahi, Striped Marlin, Blue Marlin, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Sierra Mackerel, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and more, depending on the time of year. Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light tackle fishing, trolling, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Planning a family adventure? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. Snacks are permitted onboard — bring your favorites so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly!
You'll step aboard the Big D, a 26' Sea Pro cuddy cabin that can carry up to 4 guests. It comes with outriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. There's a private porta-potty on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but be sure to ask about it so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.
There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Crews often work for tips and it is customary to tip the captain 15–20% tip which he will share with his mate.
Before coming aboard, it will be required to buy a local fishing license for everyone in your group over 12 years old. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be off limits or have limits on numbers you can keep, so make sure you know what to expect.
You can't go wrong when you bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunblock (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Erik's Cabo Lifestyle will make it easy for you to go fishing in Cabo San Lucas. So, how about booking that trip?
