Scallop season runs from June 15th through Labor Day in our area.
Depending on the season, you might hook into Redfish, Scallops, Speckled Trout, and who knows what else!
You'll target your catch by spinning, drifting, or maybe something more specialized in this area.
Families making a day of it will be glad to know that kids are welcome aboard! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available; otherwise, you should bring your own. Snacks are permitted onboard; bring your favorites to keep their stamina going!
Capt. Floyd welcomes you aboard a 20' flats boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has everything you need for a productive day on the water.
Rods, reels, and tackle are provided, along with lures. Live bait is included, but be sure to ask about it so you know whether you'll be catching it yourself.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain.
A few items to bring include sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some drinks on offer, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

fantastic day out scalloping,great boat, great spot, great captain. fantastic time out with friends who had never scalloped before!
We had an amazing time today, and limited out on scallops. Captian Floyd and his wife were so great. They kept a close eye on my son and us. Captian Floyd was prompt, friendly, and the boat was well maintained! They made us feel like best friends! We will be coming back!
