He has been fishing the local water since 2012 near and and offshore. He has also been working as a mate on other captains charters since 2019. After retiring from the U.S. Marines captain Adam has been running charters on fishing the coast and offshore NC.
Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Black Seabass, Vermilion Snapper, Red Snapper, Silk Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Wahoo, Amberjack, Trigger, Tuna, Grouper and more can be found in these waters if conditions are right. During the trip you might be spinning, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing.
Looking to get the whole family outdoors? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, the Captain has 2 already. You can't go wrong with snacks so that everyone stays happy and energized!
Your vessel for the day is a 24' Key West center console with capacity for 4 passengers to comfortably fish. It has outriggers and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures and bait.
There's no need to buy a fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that some fish may have harvest limits or closed seasons. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.
Some essentials to bring are sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
Now and then the fish might get away, but a day on the water never should. Time to make it happen, with Salty Gunny Charters!

We booked a trip with Captain Adam, and he was incredible from start to finish. He took care of everything—baiting hooks, setting lines, and keeping the energy high. We caught a ton of fish and made great memories that will last a lifetime. If you are looking for a top-notch guide who is professional, patient, and knowledgeable, Captain Adam is your guy. There is nobody else I would rather spend a day out on the water with. His knowledge of this area is deep and understanding of what you’re looking for and put you in an area to have the most success is second to none. The vibe on the boat once you get fish on is exciting. That is directly impacted by Adam’s personality and passion. You will not be disappointed!

Capt. Adam is a retired U.S. Marine experienced in navigating the waters of North Carolina from sneads ferry to morehead city and is ready to take you on a therapeutic fishing excursion. He has been fishing in NC waters since 2012 and has served on other charters as a mate since 2019. Keep your eyes peeled for Black Seabass, Vermilion Snapper and Dolphin (Mahi Mahi) as you try your hand at bottom fishing, spinning, trolling, jigging, and more. The only way to learn is to join him on the water.
