Depending on the season, trips may target Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Flounder, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, and other local species found in the creeks, backwaters, marshes, and nearshore waters of coastal North Carolina.
You’ll fish aboard a 22'6" Bay Rider that comfortably accommodates up to 4 passengers and is equipped for productive days on the water. Spot Lock Charters provides rods, reels, terminal tackle, lures, and live bait when needed. Guests are covered under the boat’s blanket fishing license, so there’s no need to purchase one separately.
These trips are a great fit for families, beginners, and anglers who want a real day of fishing without the crowds of a party boat. Captain Kramer offers half-day, full-day, and custom charters, and he’ll work to match the trip to the season, conditions, and the kind of fishing you want to do.

Captain William was great! Very knowledgeable and personable. We had to reschedule our trip to the next day due to weather but he was great with directions on how to reschedule on fishing booker. We caught some fish. Probably 8-10 between us. We expected it to be a little slow due to the amount of rain that had come down in the previous few days. He still put us on fish and we had a great time. I highly recommend Spot Lock Charters and Captain William!
Captain Kramer was amazing and made sure it was one heck of a good time. We didn’t catch every fish out there but he did everything he could to put us on fish all while teaching us and taking a real interest in us instead of just treating us like just another $.
