Depending on the species you’re after, you may find yourself light-tackle fishing, trolling, back-trolling, drifting, or using a more specialized technique.
Trips with Lechtaler’s Guide Service are great for kids, so go ahead and bring the whole family along! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. Snacks are permitted onboard, so bring your favorites for a boost of energy when needed!
You’ll be fishing aboard a 20' jet boat that can carry up to 4 passengers. It has all the essentials needed for a successful fishing trip.
Capt. Jeff will provide rods and reels, along with all terminal tackle and lures. All bait is included. LGS will also clean and fillet your catch.
You’ll need to have a valid California fishing license before the trip. This information is usually available online, or you can ask the captain. Some species may be protected or require a tag to keep them, so make sure to check state regulations or ask Jeff.
Some essentials to bring are lunch and snacks, sunscreen, and sunglasses. We also recommend bringing a cooler in your vehicle to take your catch home. Water and some sodas will be available for you. Alcohol is allowed in moderation.
