Valeria’s Sportfishing Tours 

I was fishing out of the PV harbor on the Valeria with Angel and Austin. They were fiendly, welcoming, and helpful on the boat. We left on time, and stayed out slightly longer than the 10 hour tour. They worked hard to ge me on fish, swapping baits, and even catching some bait fish the see if that would work better. Fishing gds were not supportive this late June trip, but that"s fishing! Austi and Angel were excllent hosts and the boat was clean, great equipment and amazing communication a we prepared for the tour. A top notch experience.

We had a great time on our 4 hour fishing trip. We started catching Spanish mackerel right away and after we caught enough to make ceviche we went further out for jack crevalle. The weather was beautiful and we curled up on the cushions in the front of the boat and let the rising sun warm us while the captain trolled us around. Unfortunately, the jack crevalle were not biting. However, on the.way back to the dock the captain spotted a whale with its calf and so he turned us around and we rode out to have a close-up look. Since our trip was ‘officially’ over this was above and beyond for them to take additional time to show us the whales, and we were very appreciative. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a light, easy fishing trip. The captain spoke perfect English and patiently answered all our tourist question. The mate was on top of his job, unhooking the saber-tooth Macks and cleaning everything so we weren’t slipping. Note: There is a nominal port fee so be sure to bring pesos to pay it.

Glorious sunrise, many whales, dolphins, sea turtles. My goal was to bring Mahi Mahi home for large family Christmas dinner. I have never fished in the ocean and our captain was very instructive. I brought zip lock bags and insulated bag, froze filet in hotel room fridge & checked it in & it was still frozen.

Jorge and his son Alexis were by far one of my favorite crew to have on a boat. They were very experienced and worked there tails off for us today. We ended up hooking 2 mahi within 5 min of fishing. This lead is us into a big blue Marlin 350lbs + unfortunately it it broke the main line after few seconds of the fight. Gave us a great show as it took off. We saw couple more marlin but they were not interested in eating. Hooked up 2 more mahi to end the day. I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat. I would also like to add these guys had top of the line Penn and Avet reels. Thanks again for great day.
