Genesis Fishing Charter

If you're ready to try fishing in Cape Town, look no further than Genesis Fishing Charter. Captain Wouter will be your guide, offering their professional experience.

Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Skipjack Tuna, Bigeye Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail Amberjack, Yellowfin Tuna, and plenty more. You'll target your catch by spinning, popping, trolling, jigging, bottom fishing, or maybe something more specialized in this area.

Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! If you don't have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there's one on board. Snacks are also a good idea to maintain your energy throughout the trip!

You'll be casting lines from a 26' RapidCat sportfishing boat with space for 6 passengers. It comes with everything you need for a productive day on the water. Rods, reels, and tackle are covered by the charter, along with lures. Live bait is included, but it's good to ask about this so you know if you'll be catching it yourself.

You'll have the help of a First Mate to put you on fish. A 10–20% tip is customary to show your appreciation for their hard work.

The charter boat covers your fishing license, so you can drive right over and come aboard without any hassle! Keep in mind that you may release some fish due to regulations. Simply ask and your captain can tell you more.

A few items to bring include bottled water, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you'd like to bring other drinks, just ask. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.

And that's it! Your fishing trip with Genesis fishing charter is just a click away.
