North Texas Bowfishing 

There’s a monster fish with your name on it, and North Texas Bowfishing will help you catch it! With Captain Tim at the helm, you’ll have an experienced and knowledgeable guide to show you the ropes.

Depending on the time of year, you may target Alligator Gar, Longnose Gar, Garfish, Grass Carp, Carp, and other species. Trips are available 7 days a week and run from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM.

Bowfishing is unlike traditional fishing. Instead of sitting around waiting for a bite, you’ll spend the night spotting fish, taking your shot, reloading, and searching for the next one. Powerful lights illuminate the water while music plays and a cool nighttime breeze keeps things comfortable. Never tried bowfishing before? No problem. Beginners are welcome, and the crew will teach you everything you need to know.

We provide all the necessary bowfishing equipment and an ice chest. Just bring your favorite drink, plenty of energy, and a Texas freshwater fishing license.

Enjoy 4–6 hours of action, laughs, music, and an unforgettable night on Lake Lewisville. You’ll also have the opportunity to target invasive species that can compete with native fish and impact local waterways, making this an exciting way to experience bowfishing while contributing to conservation.

You may also encounter large gar, one of the lake’s top predators. If you’re interested in keeping your catch, gar backstrap is known for its white meat and can make for a great meal.
