ZP Guide Service
If you're ready to experience some of the best Smallmouth Bass fishing Lake Erie has to offer, book your trip with ZP Guide Service and Captain Zach!
Trips depart from Tibbels Marina in Lakeside Marblehead, Ohio, putting us close to some incredible smallmouth fishing grounds. You'll have the option to fish in U.S. or Canadian waters. In the U.S., we'll target the Bass Islands and Kelleys Island, while Canadian trips will focus on productive structures around Pelee Island.
We'll use modern electronics to locate structure and fish, allowing us to spend more time casting in productive areas. Techniques include small jigs, swimbaits, drop shots, jerkbaits, Ned rigs, and tubes on spinning gear. If you're comfortable with a baitcaster—or want to learn—we can also use A-rigs, swimbaits, jerkbaits, and crankbaits.
Whether you're an experienced bass angler or just getting started, we'll tailor the trip to your skill level. All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own gear.
You'll fish aboard a 20-foot bass boat that comfortably accommodates up to two guests and is fully equipped for a day of chasing Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass.
Kids and families are welcome! Children must wear a properly fitting life jacket while aboard. Each angler is responsible for obtaining the appropriate fishing license and any required documentation for the waters being fished. If you're unsure what you'll need, contact Captain Zach before your trip.
We recommend bringing non-spray sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, bottled water, snacks, and weather-appropriate clothing. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.
Whether you want to catch your first Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass, learn new techniques, target your personal best, or simply spend a great day on the water, ZP Guide Service is ready to get you out fishing!
