I’ve never seen a captain go to the lengths he went to. On this trip, I caught more fish by myself than in all of my combined trips in Ft. Myers, Cozumel, and the keys. Tyson only uses the best live bait and works hard to get that bait. Trust me, it was worth the 15-20 min drive from Clearwater beach to get to his boat. His charters are worth the extra cost. This is low key one of the best captains in the Tampa Bay/Clearwater area and I can’t wait to fish with him again. Thanks Tyson! You’re the man!! Tight lines!

He knows the area extremely well and studies the water and the fish to give you the best opportunity for a catch of a lifetime. He’s even well-versed in fly fishing which was an added bonus, as I caught multiple big fish on the fly with his guidance. To top it off, he’s just a really cool guy to hang out with while you’re hunting for hogs.

It was fun to talk about our favorite fishing spots back in Utah as Captain Tyson lived (and fished) in Utah before heading out to Tampa many years ago. At our first stop of the morning we caught Snook one after another for a solid half hour. Tried a few other spots and finally landed a nice Red to round out the trip. Thanks Captain Tyson for an awesome trip! We hope to make it back to Tampa soon!

My kids are 8, 8 and 11 and they all had a blast catching red fish and snook. We stayed in some calmer waters around old tampa bay, we didn’t want to get into the open ocean. Great family trip and a highlight of our vacation. Captain Tyson was very patient with the kids, did a great job instructing them and keep everyone involved. Great experience will definitely fish with him again.
