Reel Dreams Fishing Cozumel 

My daughter and I had a very nice half day trip. We trolled looking for Wahoo and when that didn't work Sergio took us right to a spot were we were consistently catching Red Snapper, and getting bites as soon as you got your line on the bottom! His crew was great with my 14 year old daughter. In hindsight I wish I would have used his knowledge of the local reefs to do some snorkeling to liven things up for my daughter but we were catching fish doing deep jigging! Sergio is also an experienced scuba diving guide so that was a little missed opportunity but I did pay for a fishing trip so that was all on me having a hard time picking which fun thing to do! His crew was very helpful and we got a bag full of ocean fish we would never get where we live (Barracuda, delicious, and a huge Trigger Fish, also delicious) plus a bunch of delicious Red Snapper. Overall it was a great trip and and I would definitely hire Sergios charter service again. Thanks Sergio for a fun day on the water and wonderful catch of fish. We made fresh Ceviche every night we were there at our Airbnb and also had an amazing dinner of fried fish one night that was my daughters favorite meal of any we had on the island! Great memories made. Sometimes guides can be a little stuffy. Hire Sergio for a fun, laid back, productive fishing trip. I definitely would again!

We tried multiple techniques but the fish ust were not cooperating. I think the full moon was the issue. Capt Sergio kept at it until we got on the fish.

For fishermen on a budget in Cozumel - this was a great charter. Both Captain Sergio and his first mate were very nice and worked hard to get us on fish. The seas were pretty rough so we didn’t get to do most of what we wanted, but they still managed to get us on fish. We ended up with a couple Mahi before going closer to the shore for much smaller fish. The taxi took us to the wrong Marina initially so we had to walk about a quarter of a mile down the road. So I recommend making sure you know where you’re going ahead of time if possible. Admittedly this charter didn’t have all the bells and whistles but for folks on a budget this was a great experience. My brother and I had a great time! The language barrier was tough at times but it didn’t matter too much - fishing is fishing at the end of the day.

Captain Sergio and his first mate were very friendly. We caught mahi and barracuda each day trolling and many different fish bottom fishing. Captain was well stocked in his cooler with drinks and snacks. They worked hard for us despite strong winds and hard weather. It was a great two days of fishing on the Dos Hermanos.
