Fish Key West – The Coolwater 

Caught our limit of delicious mangrove snapper for the day with Captain Nels and have been enjoying the fish at home since our trip. Fish with him if you want to have a great fishing trip. He knows the water and will have you on the fish all day long.

I’ve been on several fishing chargers before and Sam was the best captain I’ve ever had. Sam was very knowledgeable and organized on this fishing charter. We caught over 20 fish and he filleted the mutton snapper up for my wife and I and suggested we take it to hurricane hole, a restaurant about 10 Mins away for them to make fish tacos. They were delicious, highly recommended booking a trip with Sam as he was very friendly and easy going and was a blast to be around!

I would recommend this fishing charter.

Even though the weather was blowing like crazy, captain ray took us to a spot, anchored the boat, and immediately we caught fish. We didn't have high expectations due to the high winds and bad weather but this trip did not disappoint. We ended the trip with a Goliath grouper which was a blast to catch. We will come back again!

After a nice cruise out to the fishing hole they had us on the yellowtail almost immediately! Seemed like every time we reeled one in, baited the next hook, and cast again, we were reeling in yet another fish. It was downright exhausting, but in the best way possible. Even managed a couple of sea turtle sightings along the way. We capped the day off with a trip to a local shipwreck whre we hauled in pretty hefty barracuda. I would absolutely recommend for anyone looking for a great fishing charter experience to go with fish Key West. It was definitely the highlight of this Key West excursion

My wife planned a trip to Key West for my 50th birthday with an added fishing excursion. Capt Ryan (Coolwater) got us on the fish fast. As we were listening to the captain’s chatter over the radio it became apparent that we were the only offshore boat catching anything. Cast Ryan was fun, polite and knowledgeable and made sure we had a great time. My son, Cole, pulled in a 40lb Wahoo, black fin tune and several sharks.

Nick did a great job, catch probably 25 Mahi kept 16 looking forward to dinner..

Captain John was a very nice conversationist and super helpful with tips and techniques that led us to catching a lot of fish! Whenever the fish bites slowed down he knew just the spot to move to so we could continue catching as many fish as we could. After the trip, he cleaned our fish for us to later have prepared at half shell raw bar. Great way to spend a morning in Key West!

Started slow but picked up due to captain's knowledge of current hot spots. Caught mackerel, 2 types of snapper and 2 types of Jacks including the monster my wife boated (see attached pic). All 4 of us were very pleased with captain and the productive experience!!!! Highly recommended!!!
