Phenomenal Walleye Trip

The fishing was fantastic!! We could not believe how good the bite was on Erie and we didn’t have to make any adjustments, in fact we couldn’t even get the lines set and we had fish on!!! Tom was wonderful in working with the kiddos to have them help run the gear and also catch the fish. Great captain, great boat, amazing memories!

Captain Tom is a great guy. He took time to show us how to catch fish. We had a great time fishing and Tom worked with us showing different techniques and his skill in coordinating having multiple lines in the water resulted in our limit catch of big walleye. We really felt a part of the team instead of a bystander. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this charter and look forward to the next time. 4 Aces is hard to beat for sure.

This trip was everything that we hoped for and more. Captain Tom put us on fish all day until we caught our limit. I would highly recommend Captain Tom and Four Aces. I will definitely use him again.

I chose to go to Four Aces because the captain stated he was going to involve the guests in the entire trolling process and not just reel in the fish by taking turns. I have trolled but my family had never done it, but they do like fishing. We all learned a lot about trolling for walleyes. I would like to compliment Captain Tom and his mate Kenzie for being friendly, patient, knowledgeable and dogged in getting us our limit. As an aside, my son got sea-sick, but the captain was empathetic, helpful, and respectful all day. When you are sea sick, everything is miserable and I am glad he did not pick on or tease my son as he slowly got over the motion sickness enough to get back to fishing. By the way, our party of five limited out. A lot of big walleyes, too. We had a little excitement with a steelhead and had to deal with some dinks and a few sheephead. We were happy and exhausted. I would certainly fish with Captain Tom again. The man works hard all day to get you on fish and makes you part of the whole adventure.

We had a great outing with Captain Tom. We caught piles of fish and really enjoyed learning how to fish for walleye. The kids had a great time helping to rig, net, show off their catches, and even clean the fish!

    I know it doesn’t happen all the time but we limited out in 3 hrs!! Captain Tom is very helpful and knowledgeable, we had a great time!!

    Fishing was great. Enjoyed helping to set the boat up, learning different techniques, setting the rigging...very educational. Thought it was great that it was more than just realing in fish. Caught our limit! Captain Tom worked his butt off.

    Tom was great! He knew where to go and what the fish were hitting on. We had 30 fish in a little over 4 hours. Tom’s boat and equipment was top notch, and Tom is a hoot - great personality! Highly recommended!

    I took my father as well as my 2 young sons out with captain Tom today and we had a great day! The captain is very knowledgeable and involves you in the catching part. We all learned a lot today from our trip and he made my young sons feel very comfortable and it’s a day they will always remember! Captain Tom put us on the fish and we had our limit in no time. The boat is very nice and well kept. We will definitely be booking with this captain and boat in the future. Thanks again Tom for a great day and experience!

    Booked an 8 hour walleye charter with Four Aces Sport Fishing out of Ashtabula, OH on Aug 13, 2020 with my family. Capt. Tom met us at the marina, had the boat ready to go, and got us on fish immediately. We didn't even have all the lines set up and we were hauling in big walleye. Capt Tom made sure that all of us including the boys (17 and 11) were actively involved in setting lines, reeling in fish, and netting our catch. He showed us the ropes and had us running the deck while he managed the boat and handled the fish. We caught our limit by noon and were back at the marina by 1:15. I would strongly recommend booking a trip with Four Aces, especially if you have kids in your group. Tom will have them hooking up on walleye in no time!

    Great day, started off slow but Capt Tom put us on fish we had our limit of 3-8 pounders. The fishing got fast enough we couldn’t get the rods back in the water before another one was ready to net.
