Excellent first Red fishing trip!

I went out with CPT Scott as CPT Todd was taking returning clients. Scott put me on fish despite the windy churned up water conditions. he was very knowledgable. Very personable and fun to be around. 
I through paddle tails all yet and caught my limit with them. There was also the option of poppers and shrimp. After I chatted with both Captains until my ride showed up. they were great to talk to! I will do this again in the future!!!

Great Day on the Water

Pretty tough conditions due to a cold front that dropped the temperatures. We were scheduled for the previous day but the Captain suggested we wait. Smart move. The reds weren't super active today but we covered a lot of water and got into about ten fish, four of which were keepers. Todd is very patient and helped my son's casting improve. All in all a great way to wind up 2025.

Boat was just right, several spinning rigs ready with lures. Grandson and I caught 9 Red Fish and lost several other hookups. Great morning on the water.

Who doesn’t like an overcast day to break up the hot summer ! It was even accompanied by some light rain drops to cool you off . The red fish didn’t mind it either as they came in to the boat willingly. Our guide was fantastic and was super patient with my teenage boys that don’t get to fish much. We all caught fish and didn’t go home empty handed ! Absolutely recommend booking a charter here at dufours !!!

Amazing experience

We really enjoyed our fishing trip with Todd. Everything went smoothly, Todd was very understanding and calm when instructing us novices and we even got a ton of fish (due to some stupid Louisiana rules had to throw the biggest ones back...). Our 4h trip turned into an almost 6h one as we enjoyed the company so much and Todd wanted us to experience different ways of fishing and a variety of places. Truly recommend warmly!
