Schmidt Happens Fishing 

Took my friend and his Dad for a small bachelor party and we were not dissapointed! We must’ve caught a few hundred fish and managed to land a decent number of keepers. Would recommend to anyone looking for a charter in the Fernandina Beach area

Highly Recommend! My youngest son LOVES fishing and his favorite sea animal is "sharks". This was a last minute surprise for him. He had never been on a boat and he had zero idea of the surprise. Cpt. Bryce was so awesome at acommodating us given the short notice. He taught him a knot, gave him fishing advices, answered all of our questions and helped him all of the way as you can see. My son's first ever time in a boat, first big fish ever and "it was a Shark". He got to see one and be close to it. I can't express how happy we are with this adventure. We will never forget that day. Cpt Bryce, THANK YOU! Im sure you will hear from us again.

Cpt. Bryce is a great guide. Lots of local fishing knowledge. He put us on the fish at every spot. We had a great time trading funny life stories all while reeling in tons of big fish. If you want to go fishing with someone that has a ton of knowledge and also feels like a fishing buddy you have known your whole life, Cpt Bryce is your guide. We will be back on his boat hopefully very soon.

Conditions weren’t great, but Capt Bryce was awesome! He was determined to find my boys some fish and finally put us on some after fighting wind coming with a weather system off the coast. We caught a few big rays and a couple of sharks. Would highly recommend and will definitely reach back out on our next vacation.

Amazing experience. Started morning out casting out with many schools of tarpon around surfacing and below us. . Became obvious they weren’t interested in our selection of bait. Bryce then moved and kept working it. Had a nice one on with different bait and technique but quickly snapped line when it jumped. Needless to say became worried, was that my only chance. Saw other boats hook ‘em. We did get 3 small sharks. He then raced off to get “fresher” live bait with his seine. Few minutes later, hooked a beauty. 1 hour fight, many “runs” I had my hands on this girl. 160 lbs 6.5 foot. What an awesome experience. Thanks Bryce for your help

Captain Bryce took my family out on a 3 hour charter and we caught redfish and sharks. Bryce was very patient with the kids and answered all of their questions. We even happened to see 2 wild horses on the shore of Cumberland Island. I’d highly recommend booking a charter with Captain Bryce and look forward to a follow up trip later this year.

We feel pretty amazing getting to go fishing on my birthday weekend getaway. Also the only day to catch and keep red snappers!! Caught our limit and then ate one at a local stop,( Delicious). It was the first time for my boys going as well 13 and 8 and they loved it as well.

Look if your looking to catch big fish and have an amazing time with a great captain than captain Bryce is the man all around great guy and an amazing fisherman so y’all book him up you won’t be disappointed

Absolutely top notch experience! Captain Schmidt led me and my sons on an exciting fishing adventure off Cumberland Island. He knows these waters well, and it was a treat getting to know him and learning from him. Any visit to the Fernandina Beach area should include some time on the raging main with Bryce!
