Captain Chuck Wigzell has spent the last 25 years running charters out of Kona, Hawaii, and has been fishing for a living since he graduated college with a Hotel/Restaurant resort management degree in 1995. In 2019 Captain Chuck caught 200 blue marlin in a single year, he is the only captain in Kona to accomplish this huge number. He spent his college summers fishing for his family's restaurant aboard his dad's boat and was inspired to start running charters after he graduated. Two decades on, he still catches fish for his parents' restaurant, Pancho & Lefty's, and you can have your own catch cooked there for a great after-trip meal. Doing so offers you a 20% discount and a meal you won't forget.

    Excellent Crew

    Half Day Big Game Trip (AM) • 2 adults

    While we didn't catch any fish, it wasn't due to lack of effort by the crew or lack of high-quality equipment. The crew, Cam and Griff did a great job trying to put us on fish, but the fish did not cooperate. Evidently, the water was a bit choppier than normal, but Cam kept the ride as comfortable as possible. We would definitely fish with this boat and crew again.

    Awesome experience

    My kids and I had a fantastic time out fishing. My daughter has dreamed about catching a Mahi Mahi and it was her lucky day! We had fish tacos at Pancho and Lefty’s after and they were awesome! It was definitely a big highlight of our trip. Griffin and Dan were so great and helpful and the boat was very comfortable to hang out in. We had the best time!

    3/4 Day Big Game Trip (Mid-Morning) • 4 adults

    Had a great day with family. Although we only hooked one fish (small Blue Marlin) we enjoyed the views and the ride. Captain worked hard and took us to fish but they just weren’t eating. Some days are like that.

    Fun trip, great crew who worked hard to get us on a great dorado. was hoping for an ono or marlin but next time. crew was great and sonar was top notch. great trip for serious angler or first timer.

Good Trolling

We are seeing a lot of spearfish last few months. Getting 3 or 4 shots a day from them plus catching some mahi mahi and few big blue marlin.
