3 Hour Trip – Nearshore - 11:30 AM • 5 adultsWhat an amazing experience we had with Captain Ty! He was awesome and helped each of us with catching all kinds of fish (redfish, tarpon, Spanish mackerel, catfish, bluefish, and shark). He had a lot of patience and understanding. Captain Ty was also personable, which made you feel very comfortable with him. It definitely was a great experience and we would recommend him to anyone looking for a day out on a charter boat. Thanks a bunch, Captain Ty, for giving us our best experience thus far as a family!

4 Hour Trip – Jetty • 2 adultsWe had an incredible time with Big Fin Charters II! Captain Ty made this so much more than just a fishing trip.. it was a true experience from start to finish. His patience, expertise, and knowledge of the water were outstanding, and he took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable, having fun, and enjoying the day. What really made the trip special was how personable he was. We never felt like we were just another charter; he genuinely interacted with us, answered our questions, shared stories, and made us feel like we were spending the day with a friend. If you're looking for an unforgettable fishing adventure, we can't recommend Big Fin Charters II and Captain Ty enough. We had an amazing time, made wonderful memories, and are already looking forward to booking another trip with him in the future!

Half Day Trip - Jetties (PM) • 2 adultsIt was mine and my husband's first ocean fishing charter. We had fun catching Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and a great big red fish at the end! I thought it was pretty cool how we got to catch our own bait fish too. The captain was friendly and caring after I got seasick. I'm an avid boater from MN and have spent lots of time on some of our biggest lakes including a fishing charter on lake superior and I've never gotten seasick before, but even the calm ocean waters got to me after a few hours! If you've never been on a ocean fishing charter before I'd recommend taking the captain's advice and taking dramamine prior. You don't want to be seasick and not be able to enjoy eating your fresh catches afterwards like me lol 🥲

3hr inshore charter PM • 5 adults • 2 childrenThe Cpt took us out today when I screwed up the date of my reservation. We caught him as he was done for the day and he still took us out a week earlier then I mistakenly reserved. It was a short trip but he got us on some fish. Nothing we could keep but definitely what we wanted to target. Just too big to keep lol. I got sea sick and he quickly transitioned to a calmer spot. This dudes customer service is top notch and I give him 6 stars for his hospitality. I had my dad with me and it meant the world to me for him to experience this. Thanks Cpt.

4 Hour Trip – Jetty - 11:30 AM • 3 adultsTy was an amazing captain! We had so much fun and caught some really cool things! We caught a Spinner Shark, Black nose shark, Black Tip Shark, Spanish Mackerel, Redfish and a “Mother in laws fish” (toad fish) as ty called it! we will be back in march/ april and will DEFINITELY be booking with them again!!! best fishing charter we’ve ever been on!

Made a quick run offshore today to beat the storms, and it paid off! We put a quick limit of B-liners (vermillion snapper) in the box along with a nice cobia. We also released some big jacks and caught all the red snapper you could want to pull on! ??
August and September are great months for offshore fishing out of Amelia Island, with vermillion snapper, triggerfish, cobia, and plenty of other bottom dwellers keeping the rods bent.

May redfish bite

The ocean was still pretty snotty today, so we decided to stay around the inlet and chase some redfish — and they did not disappoint. ??
Mr. Trip’s arms were absolutely slap wore out after a half day of nonstop redfish action. The bite stayed hot all trip long and made for one heck of a day on the water around Amelia Island.
