From the moment we stepped on the boat, he made us feel welcome and shared an incredible amount of knowledge about salmon fishing, the river, and the local area. On top of that, he’s just a genuinely fun person to spend the day with, his stories alone made the trip unforgettable.

The fishing was fantastic. While many of the other boats around us weren’t catching much, Dave put us in the right spots and both my girlfriend and I landed salmon. Even more special, my girlfriend, Karuna, caught her very first fish ever! That’s a memory we’ll have for the rest of our lives, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide to make it happen.

A huge thank you as well to Dave’s wife, who was incredibly kind, organized, and made the entire experience seamless from booking to the end of the trip.

Captain Jason went above any expectation we had. He was excellent in communication prior to departure.  Before we even stepped foot on the boat he was interacting with our kids, and we knew he would be a great Captain.  During our experience he allowed us to interact in pulling the pots, educated our kids about how to tell a male and female crab, how to measure them, and safely release the ones we couldn’t keep back into the water. It was an experience they will never forget and they can’t wait to go catch more crabs! We highly recommend captain Jason

The plan was to go for halibut but the current fishing reports were for success not good. We discussed other options that had better chance of success and I decided to go for coho instead for a better chance of success. We would have tried for halibut if was my decision. All-American was the only fishing guide service that I found that didn’t require at least two people for booking a fishing trip with mixed parties. As I was the only one technically booked for a halibut trip the day before when I discussed it with Jason and changed it to a coho trip he managed to find two more people to go which made the trip more enjoyable. I just want to make it clear the change in targeted species was my decision and not Jason’s because of client #s. We did get our of coho. I am looking forward to my next trip with Jason.  No I don’t usually do reviews but had such a good trip I did.

Booked a Rockfish trip for my dad & I. Unfortunately the ocean wasn’t cooperating, so we couldn’t go out. Ended up staying on the river and fished Pink Fin. Wasn’t the most productive day, but our Guide Jason was a hoot. GREAT attitude, great fish stories. He did everything possible to get us on fish, but just wasn’t our day. Nevertheless I would recommend and will be booking another trip with All American Guide.

Booked this trip during our coast vacation for crab fishing.  Our captain was amazing, he actually monitored the weather and dropped some early pots so we would go home with crab.  After the trip he also showed us how to clean them for immediate cooking.  Very helpful, would highly recommend for newbies!
