Pozadina: I have fished Lake Erie my entire life personally and professionally. In the 1980's, I was a first mate on the Lynn Marie for several years. We fished for walleye, perch, and smallmouth bass on Lake Erie and salmon and trout on Lake Michigan during July and August. I have caught numerous Fish Ohio walleye! My biggest was 33' and 13.6 lbs. I enjoy taking new clients/friends on Lake Erie to enjoy the bounty of the lake.
Tehnike: My favorite way to fish is jigging. When you're working the jig up and down and a walleye just stops your upswing, the excitement is exhilarating! Perch fishing is just as fun but on a different level. I enjoy trolling because it's challenging! You have to figure out so many variables to have a great day. First, find fish and hope they are hungry, then speed, depth, currents, colors, lure size, etc...

Had a crew from St. Mary's Ohio 1st time casters and trollers. Tried casting and had a little trouble putting em in the boat. The fish were scattered from the overnight storms. Once we started trolling and covering some water, we found some active hungry eye's!

The fishing is really good right now. Trolling has been the best but the fish are coming back in close so casting will be a great option in days to come!

Had a charter and had to fish blind as the weather was bad for a week prior to our trip. Happy to say we found the perch in short order. We caught around 180 and kept 83 for a weight of 25lbs.

10/10 recommend this! Captain Mike and mate were the perfect crew for a perfect morning of fishing. This was a first for me and Mike was so responsive and patient in answering all my questions. The trip was a surprise for my boyfriend who is not a beginner and he said it was the best birthday surprise ever! We got right out in the water and had no shortage of fish to catch! An overall great day with great company and an overall great experience !

10/10 recommend this! Captain Mike and mate were the perfect crew for a perfect morning of fishing. This was a first for me...

Capt. Mike and first mate Jim were super. They have a fountain of knowledge about Lake Erie and the Great Lakes in general. We nearly caught our walleye limit and reeled in a couple BONUS fish as well. We had a great time and I’d highly recommend this charter.

Fishing Booker Yes, I would be glad to give a review regarding my fishing trips with Captain Mike on the Erie Jem. But first a disclaimer should anyone happen to ask. My two trips were last year in 2024 before he secured his charter license but yes they were on the Erie Jem. The first trip targeted walleye and the second was for perch.
