- I started hanging out along creeks, rivers, and lakes reeling in trout as a kid, was always in trouble for staying out past when the street lights came on. I took a hiatus from fishing to travel the world for the Army and have been back on the water where I belong pursuing my angling passion since retiring from the Army. I'm an avid outdoorsman, local and knowledgable guide, experienced angler and educator (PhD). I hold all necessary licenses including USCG OUPV (6-pack) Captain's license, Washington State Guide License, as well as Salmon Charter License. My First Aid and CPR certifications are current, and I'm a member of the Washington State Guides Association and Puget Sound Anglers Association. Book a trip with me for a safe and educational experience that puts the rods in your hands. When you fish with me, I'll be right there to offer any coaching you may want as you catch your fish, not the guide.
- Tehnike
- I vary techniques and 'tools' based on the prey I'm after. One thing I don't compromise or skimp on is quality of gear, from the boat to the end of every line, I demand only the best on my boat. For salmon, I troll and mooch, using live bait (preferred) or artificials. For ling cod we will drift or use my new Garmin Kraken bow mount to spot lock us onto a specific spot that is holding fish, where we will jig or drift live bait (preferred) or artificials. Shrimp and crab I have a high power, high speed pot puller that makes the job quick and easy. For halibut we will use electric reels to reduce fatigue and keep us fishing longer.
