The Beach Has Got It ALL!

Man oh man, it was an absolutely epic weekend fishing the surf. Conditions are ripe. Central Florida's beaches are loaded with bait, and the fish are busting the surface up and down the coast. Tarpon? Check. Snook? Check. Pompano? Check. Boat? NO BOAT NEEDED. You can catch the biggest thrills and the most delicious table fare right now with two feet planted firmly on the sandy beach. On a single afternoon charter Saturday in Melbourne Beach, we did just that. Keeper pompano, giant mojarrah, whiting, catfish, AND... a 6ft ~140lb tarpon (a tale for later)! This group from west Texas had the fishing experience of a lifetime, that's for sure. Shout out to my boy, trip MVP, Clayton, for hanging tight for the 90 minute battle with this magnificent monster!

There he is… the fearless leader of the Catfish Crew! Michael, thank you so much for giving us the pleasure of fishing with you and your family. The ocean certainly gave us all the catfish we could handle, and hopefully a few great memories to take home to Missouri with you, too.
