Growing up on the Texas coast, Danny developed a love for fishing at an early age, with a rod in hand whenever he was near the water. That childhood passion grew into a lifelong commitment to understanding the water, locating fish, and mastering a wide range of fishing techniques.
After high school, Danny enlisted in the U.S. Navy, became a Navy Diver, and served overseas for 22 years. During his military career, he gained extensive experience operating and maintaining vessels ranging from small runabouts to platforms up to 70 feet in length. When he wasn’t on duty, Danny spent his free time fishing, refining his techniques, and pursuing trophy fish in waters around the world.
After retiring from the Navy, Danny moved back to Texas and turned his passion for fishing into a career. He spent two successful years as a full-time captain and guide with a respected Galveston-area charter company, earning a reputation for professionalism, hard work, and consistently putting quality fish in the boat.
Ready to build something of his own, Danny ventured out independently—and Pinnacle Saltwater Charters was born.
Today, Captain Dan combines his military discipline, extensive experience on the water, and deep knowledge of the sea to provide every guest with a safe, professional, and memorable day on Galveston waters.
