Captain Jose Paredes is a local angler who's been taking people out to explore these waters for over 20 years. His English is OK. He's known throughout Guanacaste province as being a friendly and knowledgable captain, and believes that the reasons behind this are his willingness to accommodate, his flexibility, and his years of experience.
