I was raised in VA Beach, VA. As a youngster, I fished around lakes and the ocean. This area would be the location where my love for water took place. Maybe not the time when I was 5 and my dad threw me in the ocean, by my ankles, to teach me to swim. It didn't take long to get a bodyboard and a surfboard under my arm. Having 2 older brothers really helped when going on fishing adventures early in life. We came up with all kinds of reasons to leave the house and go surfing or fishing. It wasn't long till we started heading south, to the uncrowded beaches of the Outer Banks of NC. This is where I live now, with my 2 daughters Lily and Maddy, along with my wonderful wife Erin. My two older brothers live nearby and we have 7 children between the three of us to enjoy raising here on the beach. After learning the local ways of fishing techniques, I became passionate about taking friends fishing at different times of the year. I received my Captain's license soon after and never looked back!

The boat was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and Aaron clearly knew all the best spots. we had a great day filled with laughter and sunshine(and a little wind:)

Half Day Trip (AM) • 2 adultsHad a great half day on the Carolina Sunrise/Cobiakiller. Captain Aaron was so patient with a not-so-together grandmother, but his experience as a father and fisherman shined when talking and working with my fishing experienced, 11 year old granddaughter. While the fish were not biting on this super hot day, Captain Aaron showed his boating skill by maneuvering his boat in the turbulent waters near the main channel under the new bridge's pilings, giving my granddaughter the thrill of catching about 50 small stripers. It was a joy watching my smiling young angler hook one after another. He finished the day by going far beyond his call of duty by retrieving and delivering our lost cooler. I would definitely recommend and book again on this affordable, inshore boat.

Mid to late April offers an excellent time here on the Outer Banks, to kick the summer off right!
We cruise down to either Hatteras or backside Oregon Inlet, chasing what some folks call Redfish but here locally better know as Drum. I’m not too partial on what you call them, I call them a blast!!
We primarily cruise the shallow, clear water beaches in search of a school that we can sightcast to. Casting metal spoons and custom Meathog bugtail jigs usually get it done. It’s a ton of fun and I really hope some of you out there are able to come join in on the party. Give us a shout here on Fishingbooker and we’ll get ya hooked up???
