As an avid outdoorsman, I have traveled the globe from safaris in Africa to the remote tundra of the Arctic, but I immediately fell in love with Kodiak and the majesty of her rivers and emerald ridgelines. Since 2001, I started guiding for freshwater fishing and hunting on Kodiak Island. Through my experience, I realized my true passion was to use my intimate knowledge of Kodiak and love for the outdoors to fuse together the perfect local freshwater fishing trips for those visiting the isle of Kodiak.

    HEADSHAKERS is an economic value!

    Saltery Cove Offroad Trip • 2 adults

    We saw an 8 foot + bear fishing in this pool of water upon arrival and getting to fish in the very same pool 20 minutes later was a bucket list moment for us!! Bo Johnson was our guide. He was outstanding! We caught a lot of good sockeye salmon.!! A great day

    It was an incredible experience that I would absolutely do again! Travis got us on the fish early and we were able to get our limit quickly. Even though we limited out quickly, we were able to move to a new spot and continue with catch and release. You have to be there really early, but it is totally worth every minute.

    Stream Fishing with Travis and Travis

    Saltery Cove Sightseeing Tour

    My wife daughter and I went on a stream fishing trip with Travis and Travis. It was wonderful. Both Travis's were very attentive and made sure we had a very enjoyable experience. My novice fisherman wife caught lots of salmon, thanks to both Travis's. My daughter and I reeled in some big one with the help of Travis's. We also saw bear on the trip. Our experience could not have been better. Can't wait to go on the all day fishing and ATV trip with them on our next trip to Kodiak.

    Awesome time on the river.

    Saltery Cove Sightseeing Tour

    My family and I had an awesome time on the river fishing with our guide Travis. We showed up he had all the gear and he got on to some fish in no time. He was patient and attentive with my whole family! He had some great stories about some of his experiences in Kodiak. We felt very safe even with all the bear activity. Travis definitely knew his stuff! Thanks again for taking me and my family out I hope we can go out with you again!
