Captain Dave Posey has been fishing for over three decades. He grew up fishing and has always loved it. He used to be a musician and spent over half a decade on the road. Once, when Dave was fishing with his friend, he realized that he wanted to do this for a living and bought 7 kayaks in the next couple of days.

    Great Fishing

    After a scheduling issue with fishing booked the guide reached out and was able to get me rescheduled while I was still in town. Caught lots of fish and a couple that were once in a lifetime catch. Would recommend to anyone.

    Night time redfish

    I had originally booked an afternoon trip with Captain Dave from 4:00-8:00 p.m. however, as we were about to launch the Florida weather of thunderstorms came rolling in. I was quite disappointed as I had really wanted to try kayak fishing. Captain Dave recommended that we could still fish but instead do a night time trip. I am glad the afternoon trip had to rescheduled as the night time trip was great. What an experience. The weather was awesome (much cooler than the normal blistering June temperatures) and we hit the fish. We fished around the lights that home owners have by their docks and caught a few sea trout and probably a dozen red fish It was quite the experience to see the fish swimming around the lights and know the fight might be on at any moment. We ended up fishing from 8:00 pm. until just before midnight. I certainly appreciated Captain Dave's willingness to adjust to get me on the water. He definitely knows the area well and will help you to have a great experience. I would highly recommend taking a kayak trip with the Kayak Fishing Destin group. I would also consider a night time trip as you won't regret it.

    Trip was excellent and relaxing. Captain was excellent put us in spots to catch but bite was slow. I always say that's why it's called fishing. Had a great time look forward to next trip.

    Hinky Operation

    Half Day Trip (MAX 1-2) • 1 adult

    Guide was a nice guy (Kevin). Wasn't ready to go when I got there. 2 altercations with other kayakers (who had run into our "fishing hole" by accident), with a threat of physical altercation in one of two situations. I was not expecting a guarantee to catch fish, but I guess I expected a little more professionalism (technology, fish locators, etc.) I have been guided fishing before and they set us over the fish and it was fun. This experience was at least relaxing for me. Just appears to be a bit "hinky".
