    Just what we wanted

    Half Day Trip (AM) • 2 adults

    Before our trip, Izzy and I had several email correspondences back and forth discussing my preferences for the trip. Emails were always answered within the hour and although he didn’t make any promises (who can, it’s fishing, you never quite know what you’re going to get), the crew was sure to put us on exactly what we came for. I specifically told Izzy we wanted to troll for a billfish... needless to say, I got exactly what I asked for when we brought in this huge sailfish! On this 1/2 day am trip, we also brought in several jack, yellowfin tuna, and even a reef shark! Such a great day out on the water! Thanks again guys!

    6 Hours trip with just salt crew

    A holiday at the Maldives was a great idea. Before I traveled to the Maldives i got an idea, i wanted to try fishing in one of the most fantastic fishing places in the world, but I did't order any kind of trip before i was on the maldives. The hotel I was staying at was offering different kinds of experiences. One of them was water sports. We tried water sport and it was fun, but the crew wasn't as professional as we expected, and later we found out, that it was the same crew who organized the fishing trips, so i decided to find something else, and the result was the Just salt crew. The water sport crew was a lot cheeper, but there was no doubt in my mind, that the just salt crew was worth the money. The crew was great. They were friendly and helpful. We went for some trolling and some jigging, but we did't really have any luck with us. We caught one little grouper in 6 hours, but after the 6 hours we kept on fishing. It almost felt like the crew did't want to go back to the harbor. It paid of, and i caught a nice red snapper nearly one hour overtime. After i caught the fish, the crew decided to try a bit more in the area, and after some time we decided to go back in again. Overall it was a nice trip, it had a great and professional crew, and the boat wasn't big but it was good. The nature is fantastic, and just salt is absolutely worth the money. I hope i get to go back sometime, and i am sure that i will pick just salt once again, and hopefully try the big game fishing.

    December fishing trip

    Night Fishing Trip • 2 adults

    This is my first time to do some night fishing in Male. The boat is not so big, but enough for my friend and I. The Captain and his crew were very nice and took us to some very good spots and it was really a very productive fishing trip.

    Dedicated and hard-working crew

    Half Day Trip (AM) • 1 adult

    Firaz (captain), and Keke (mate), fought lousy weather for hours to show up, on time, for our 6:00 am rendezvous on Eriyadu. Conditions went from bad to worse, but Firaz put us on to fish, lots of grouper jigging, and a nice wahoo, trolling on our way to lunch. The boys did all they could to make this a good day, and were not watching the clock, despite the long and arduous trip facing them back to Malé.

    Half day fishing trip

    Half Day Trip (AM) • 2 adults

    The captain and crew were awesome, good fun and chatty. They had great english as well so that was great. The boat was incredible. The equipment was all in very good condition. However, we did not catch any fish at all or have any bites. Was a little disappointed with that considering the price you pay however, that is what fishing is about. You win some, you lose some. All in all, fun experience.

Remo Baleri is a fresh water angler and have never fished on the ocean before and he was very excited to join our team at #justsalt on board #vitaminsea for a half day adventure. He had a special request, to fish Yellowfin Tuna. We at #justsalt try to our very best to keep our dear anglers happy so one day before the trip, we set out to find the best possible spots for the yellowfin. The following day #vitaminsea departed hulhumale at 0345 in the morning to pick up Remo from a nearby resort. At around 0415 we were on our way from the resort to the best spot our team had marked in advance the previous day. The conditions were just awesome for Yellowfin Tuna. As we arrived Remo was welcomed by Yellowfin Tuna jumping out of the water. A spectacular sight to behold. Remo was excited to see the local fishermen fishing for Yellowfin Tuna using traditional pole and line fishing method. First Remo tried his luck on handline trolling, didn't take him long and FISH ON!!!!! Things improved from there onwards. The rest is history. See for yourselves. 2 day fishing expedition with Darren

Day1 Morning session **hidden content** * Departed Hulhumale at 0530 * Did some trolling to begin with, unfortunately we didn't catch any fish on troll * We came across a school of bonito , they were very excited * Next up was Popping, unfortunately we couldn't get any bites * And then we decided to try our luck with vertical jigging and BINGO * The fish were biting pretty good * We managed to get mostly different types of grouper, along the way Big Bruce the shark decided to collect his share as well. * Huge Yellow mouth grouper and a small grouper ( 2 ON 1) both at the same time * Jobfish (rusty) * Lunch Break @ Paradise Island Resort ( Can be arranged on request by guests) Day 1 Afternoon Session **hidden content** * Different Location, decided to stick with jigging * Huge bites, suspected dogtooth never managed to get the fish onbaord * Jobfish (green) * more Grouper BBQ AT HULHUMALE' * After a long and exciting day of fishing we returned back to Hulhumale' * When we came back, our team @ JUST SALT had already got the BBQ Grill burning * Theres nothing like a freshly caught fish on the barbie * BON APPETIT !! Yellowfin tuna jigging

Departed Male' at 2 in the afternoon. Arrived at our fishing spot, 25 miles north of Male' around 33000 as the sea had quite a bit of swells. The strike rates were absolutely amazing. Not all were successful but a great day of jigging nonetheless. We used daiwa saltiga 5000 reels with 100/80 lbs of Braid and 70lb leader. And shimano Speed master and daiwa saltiga rods. Jig size varied from 140g to 200g both medium fast and fast jigs were used.
