- I've been fishing since the age of four. I owned my own sea fishing boat for 10 years, mainly targeting Bass, Cod, and Pollock. After that period, I decided it was time for a new adventure. Following a trip to Portugal, I fell in love with the country and made it my goal to return and fish there as often as possible. I spent five years fishing with a guide in Portugal before deciding to set up on my own, building on my experience running a hunting business for clients in the UK. I now have a home in Corte de Cobres, around 30 minutes from Mértola. Within walking distance, there is a stocked lake as well as a nearby river. The Rio Guadiana is just 30 minutes away, and the Alqueva Dam is about an hour's drive. Both Lisbon and Faro airports are approximately two hours away. My aim is to guide anglers through the beautiful waters of the Alentejo region of Portugal - from quiet weir pools to vast reservoirs and dams - offering varied, scenic, and memorable fishing experiences.
