Captain George Pfeiffer was born and raised in Pensacola, FL. He's spent his entire life on the water, starting from a dock on the Emerald Coast when he was a little boy. Since then he's fished all over the place, northwest Florida, South Alabama, the Gulf Coast of Alabama, Mississippi Delta – he's chased that fish all around! He wants to put his customers on the best bite so much that he's been building his own underwater fishing reefs and wrecks for the past 20 years. 4 Hour Trip PM - Summer • 12 adults • 2 childrenWe brought a group of 16 to Action Charters. It worked really well. We caught a good amount of Beeliners (Vermilion snapper). Enough for a fish fry with hush puppies for everyone. The captain was very professional and knew his spots. The fish were good-sized. The four-hour trip was our test trip. Even the younger kids, who did get a little board, now want to try the six-hour trip. Well done! Looking forward to the next trip! For a walk on a head boat, this was just perfect! The AC in the cabin was also a big hit for the in-between times. We brought PB&J with chips and drinks, which was excellent for our group. Thank you, Action Charters.

4 Hour Trip PM - Summer • 1 adultI brought 4 girls 21 and under here to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday and thought after that, I deserved a little mom time. I booked for an evening fish initially, but the captain called and said it was canceled, but he was so sweet to get me on a morning fish. This was my first time deep sea fishing. We caught our limit of snapper and headed back before a storm hit. I would highly recommend this trip. The crew was amazing and the captain knew what he was doing. I would give 10 stars if I could.

6 Hour Trip AM - Summer • 2 adultsDidnt really know what to expect when I booked this for my son and myself, but I’m so glad I did. The experience was top notch. Deckhands were exceptional and the captain was not only ON THE FISH, but had a great personality to boot. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be rebooking on a return trip to Perdido.

6 Hour Trip AM - Summer • 3 adultsI was worried about the weather and finding fish but Captain George put us on fish right out of the gate. we had out limit in no time. Even with the high seas he kept us on fish and did an excellent job getting us back safely. I would highly recommend this to anyone beginner or experienced fishermen.

The Big One that got away!

On one of our first trips of the year of 2023 we had an amazing day of fishing. It couldn't have gone any better. The weather was perfect and the fish were biting great! After an hour of fishing we almost had a limit of Verrmillion Snapper, (Mingo's) and were wondering what to do so we went looking for some bigger Triggerfish that we could keep. But, right before I moved the boat I heard some one say, "Get a gaff, Big Mingo". I thought to myself, WOW, that's a huge Mingo if we need a gaff. Then it hit me, no way. So I ran out back to see what was going on and to my surprise I noticed the deckhands scrambling with the gaff over the transom only to see this 8 foot "Mako" shark on the line of a woman's pole fighting about ten feet from the back of the boat. I said, OH, Mako not Mingo! And just like that the line broke and the shark swam away. Boy were we all disappointed at first. I then found out that they changed the rules on Mako sharks and we couldn't keep him anyway. Oh well, it was still a great opportunity. After all of that excitement, we went over to another couple of spots and caught some really nice Triggerfish. Gotta love it when a plan comes together. Great trip with a bonus!

Hey guys, we had another trip on May 6th and the weather was great, Fishing was good and the seas were nice. Everybody had a great time and on the way back in we ran across a FAD (Fish Attracting Device) that had around 20 Cobia on it. We caught around six but a few were too short but we did keep three legal fish. What a bonus! Come fish with us, we'll make memories for life!

Great weather and Great Fishing

We had a terrific trip yesterday with 21 people on a SIX hour trip on my boat that can hold 75 people. It certainly isn't crowded this time of year. The seas were almost non existent, totally flat! I know, right? Temperature was mid 70's and a bright sunny day. The kind of bluebird day we all dream of. The best part is that the fish were biting like crazy! We ended up with a limit of Vernillion Snapper (Mingo's) that's 10 per person and almost a full limit of real nice sized Triggerfish, limit one per person. One was 7.5 pounds, HUGE! The waters are still warming up and we did try to use our drift lines for a King Mackerel but didn't have any luck yet. When it's cool like this the bait doesn't get here until it warms up a little more yet. Then all of the top water fish bite good. As we came back in the pass my deckhands were riding in the tower looking for the Cobia that are migrating right now and they saw one just outside the rock jetty. We promptly spun around and tried to locate him but he disappeared quickly and was gone. The waters are Crystal clean and Emerald Green, just glowing this time of year as we haven't been flooded with too much dirty rain water runoff. This is the best time of the season to go fishing with the cool weather and sunny days. Just a reminder, we have been given 62 days of Federal Red Snapper Season this year starting June first and going thru August first. This is the longest season we've had in many years. Also we as "Charter for Hire" boats fish 7 days a week in Red Snapper season, not just Fri, Sat and Sun. Call us to make your reservations before it's too late to get the day you want.
