prepare for fairly rough swell, rarely calm here. Take dramamine half night before and half in morning to balance drowsiness (from dramamine all at once in the morning) and sea sickness. sunscreen as well.

We had a blast. We also went in knowing that early August isn’t the best fishing season in Cabo, so we set our expectations on having fun fishing together - that made catching two grest fish all the sweeter! one word to the wise - my son will never pose shirtless with a large trophy fish again. Sailfish skin is like sandpaper!

For first timers I would recommend taking a nausea pill beforehand if you get motion sickness easily, since there is a lot of waves. Also, make sure to bring snacks & water.

BlueSea Sportfishing - Mystic Marlin
Don't expect to always catch a fish every single outing. This Capt did everything he could to put us on fish, and got us hooked up successfully to multiple azing fish. However unfortunately we weren't able to land them, and that is normal. That's why they call it fishing, and not catching. I'm an avid fisherman, and we had a great experience.

get fishing license for day or week of fishing trip online before you go to Cabo, internet is not good so tougher while you are there and yiu could save youself a couple of bucks; ask about catches so you are pepared if you do catch something what you will do with the catch (release/take some fish and have someone prepare/replica mount, etc)

Try to communicate with the operator of your charter to find out specifically where to meet. In my recent trip, I went to the main fishing marine where I have always departed from and our boat was at another location which was a fault of the operator and not communicating well.

We had an awesome time! Caught a huge Blue Marlin! Cabo's waves are intense and caused a bit of motion sickness for my son, but overall it was a fantastic experience. The captain and first mate were friendly and professional.

Go to the gym and workout months before you go! You’re not ready for what Cabo has in store. The only reason i rated Cabo in July a 4 is because Cabo can actually be better other times of the year. in comparison to almost everywhere else in the world, even July is better!
