STRIPED BASS SEASON RETURNS SEPTEMBER 1! September is right around the corner, and that means one of my favorite times of year on the Chesapeake Bay is about to begin! Maryland’s striped bass season reopens September 1, kicking off what can be some of the best light-tackle fishing of the year. As summer gives way to fall, we get cooler temperatures, beautiful days on the Bay, and increasingly active fish. At Chills Light Tackle Guide Service, I focus on putting you on the fish and letting you catch them on light tackle. Depending on conditions, we’ll use jigs, swimbaits, jerkbaits, topwater and other techniques to target striped bass throughout the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.
