The bite is full swing! The redfish are moving around the islands and searching for food. The cooler evening temperatures are drawing the trout into shallower water turning on the trout bite! As the year progresses we will expect to see more numbers of trout, redfish, and mackrel. We are catching the redfish on cut and live bait such as shrimp and pinfish. The days are slowly getting shorter. Yet, the bite is staying on longer. With summertime showers cooling and oxygenating the water the fish are starting to fire up more than ever. The rest of September should produce a lot of quality fish and as fall sets in the fishing will get even better. We will start to see more schools of fish and higher catch rates. The fall and winter months are my favorite time of year to fish using artificial lures on light spinning tackle. During this transition , the morning and afternoon produce fish. If you are looking to get on the bow and target some nice red fish, snook, and trout don’t hesitate to reach out. I also have dates available this fall for a fish in a barrel style of fishing.
