A captain that cares and works hard to give a great experience.
I booked a half charter with Jim over Labor day weekend 2021. He was very family friendly and an amazing host. The day prior he called me to explain the fishing was not going well that day due to many mid week storms and offered if I wanted to cancel. I decided to move forward and not let the weather ruin our first Lake Erie trip. The morning of, he was promptly at the boat, ready to let us in on the dock right on time. He was very prepared. He mentioned the waters were rough as another storm had come through over night. As we left the dock, he kept in touch with other boats to find out where and if anything was biting. We only went out about 4 miles or so due to 3-4' waves. His top priority was safety of his passengers and fishing next. He prepared many lines for my family of 6 trying to find fish for us. We kept at it for a few hours and even though we did not bring in a large catch, he worked extremely hard even with horrible fishing conditions. About 2 or so hours in, the waves were hitting above 4' and rocking the boat. No one got sick luckily as we all enjoy the water, but the fish just were not biting well. Jim did everything he could to give us a memorable fishing experience and believe it or not, we did. We did end the trip a bit early due to the rough conditions but my wife, myself, and kids were still very pleased as it was amazing being on the lake. We will go back and try again and hopefully hit the lake when its better weather. Jim is a gracious host and will work to do what it takes to give you that memorable experience. Thank you!

Thanks Jonathan for the kind words. I have to tell you I have a bizarre sense of a first impression of people and then having it come true within the first 5 min. of a trip. When I found out your wonderful vacation plans for your family I knew it was going to be a great day. You guys sure fit a lot in for the weekend. It was my pleasure meeting you and your family and would love to have you back in June or July
