Scott got us out early and it was a good call. We almost immediately started pulling in big Redfish. Everyone in our group caught multiple fish. I can’t say enough about how well everything went. Scott was knowledgeable and quick to respond if we needed assistance. I would suggest be your first call for a charter.
My son and I recently completed a perfect half day fishing charter with Captain Scotty Darna of Saltyboy Charters. Captain Scotty met us at the Green Flash Restaurant dock on Captiva. He arrived early so we left early and in a few minutes we were in the Gulf headed to where he thought we’d find fish. Oh boy, did we ever! For the next three hours we caught dozens and dozens of snapper, grouper, porgies, Amberjack and others! At the end of the afternoon he flayed our catch which we took home and enjoyed for dinner. This was the best day of fishing I’ve ever experienced. Not only was catch great but so was the boat and the Captain. I would heartily recommend Saltyboy Charters for a totally great day!
This was the best fishing action day of my life. I caught probably 30 fish including snook, redfish, jack, barracuda, and a saltwater catfish. And had another 6 break offs. Due to conservation restrictions none could be kept, but I didn't care. His boat was purpose-built and perfect for this type of trip. Capt. Scotty is a fine young pro who has a friendly easy going manner. I enjoyed my time talking with him. My charter started at 9 and my first snook was in the boat at 9:13. People it does not get any better!

We had the best time on this trip! Captain Scotty was wonderful. Every spot we went we were catching fish. We would drop the line and get a bite every time. Captain Scotty was very nice and knew right where to go. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a charter.
Captain Scotty is patient and very skilled. On a tough day where fish were uncooperative he put us on a bunch of mangrove snappers we caught enough of for a tasty dinner and some grouper that were a ton of fun to catch. This was our first inshore trip, having fished near-shore in the panhandle and offshore in the Atlantic. We had so much fun! We will absolutely book again with Captain Scotty @ Saltyboy Fishing Charters.
