My father, brother, and I had a nice time out with Captain Adam. We caught our limit for lake trout and tried for salmon, but it was too early in the evening. The boat was nicely equipped, and the dock was easy to find. Parking was easier than I thought it would be. It is one street over from the marina and wasn’t crowded which I thought it would be because the main street it connects to was jampacked at that time of day. This was our first charter trip so a bit more information about what was happening would have been helpful. When all the rods started getting set up, we weren’t actually sure we’d be doing anything at all except watching. But as it turns out, we are the ones to reel the fish in. An FYI, if you’re new like us.
Sorry we don't get a lot of first-timers and we sometimes as captains and doing it for so long forget that there are newbies. Glad you had a great time and the fish were cooperative. Thanks again for fishing with whitecap charters of Charlevoix hope to see you in the future. Captain Kent and crew
We had an absolutely phenomenal time. I had never caught a lake trout before and my girlfriend and I got some absolute tanks to take home. Captain Art was awesome. He was very professional, patient and knowledgeable. He was very attentive and on top of his game. We had a close call with another charter boat. I didn’t see it until they were passing us, I was in the middle of fighting a fish. This other charter boat passed us at a very close distance (20-25 ft) going at a very high rate of speed. Had Captain Art not been paying attention and throttled up and moved us, we would have had a collision. Because of his expertise and attention to detail, my girlfriend and I lived to fish another day. I will recommend this service and captain to anybody and everybody. Will be fishing with y’all again.
