Captain Max is experienced and friendly

Epic Day of deep sea fishing with my three boys. Captain Max was great with kids. Kept them in line while keeping it friendly and litehearted. We caught trigger, red snapper, vermillion, and sand perch that we could keep and eat. Also he put us on some amberjack in the bay thay gave my son the fight of his life. All in all a wondeful experience. Cant wait to book another outing with Max next year.

Vermilion Snapper fishing is all about steady action on light tackle. These bright, schooling Snapper are prized for fast bites, clean fillets, and fun fights. Anglers target them for reliable catch rates and delicious table fare after a day on the water.

You will often find Vermilion Snapper over reefs, wrecks, and hard bottom in mid to deep water. Captains usually use bottom fishing with small circle hooks, light leaders, and two- or three-hook rigs. Cut bait like squid or shrimp works well, and small jigs also produce when fish are holding mid-water above structure.

Expect quick hookups and doubles when the school fires up. This bite suits first-time anglers, families, and anyone who enjoys constant action without heavy gear. The fish are smaller than Red Snapper, so light spinning outfits keep the fight sporty and simple. Bring sun protection, a hat, non-slip shoes, and a camera. If you get seasick, consider medication before your trip. Your captain will handle bait, tackle, and finding the fish.

Regulations vary by region and can change during the year. Before your trip, check local rules for licenses or permits, open seasons, and harvest limits. Ask your captain about current regulations and whether catch-and-release is recommended for your area.
